The Holy Rosary Cathedral is located at 646 Richards Street at the corner of Dunsmuir Street. The main entrance is on Dunsmuir Street. The Cathedral is in the downtown core of the city and is within easy walking distance of most downtown hotels and major transit routes. It is also within easy walking distance of major tourist sites, such as, Gastown, Canada Place Ocean Liner Terminal and major shopping centres along Granville Street.
For those visitors staying outside the downtown core, the Cathedral is easily accessible by car. Parking is available on the surrounding streets, in parkades on Richards Street, and in several other nearby parking lots. The most economical lot is EasyPark, 535 Richards Street. Do not leave anything visible in your car.
The area is also well served by public transit. See the Translink Trip Planner to plan your journey.
The Cathedral is located two blocks from the main transit thoroughfare through the centre of the city at Granville Street. Most city buses going through the city centre go along Granville Street. Alight at the Dunsmuir Street stop and walk two blocks east along Dunsmuir Street to get to the Cathedral. Suburban buses usually run along Georgia Street; alight at Granville Street stop and walk one block north along Granville Street and then two blocks east along Dunsmuir Street.
If you are coming into Vancouver on the SkyTrain system, the nearest stations are Vancouver City Centre on the Canada Line or Granville on the Millenium and Expo Lines. If you are alighting at Vancouver City Centre station follow the directions given earlier for suburban buses. If you are alighting at Granville station, follow the signs for the Dunsmuir Street exit and at that exit turn right (east) along the Dunsmuir Street and the Cathedral is one and half block walk.
